Your mission
We are looking for undergraduate and/or graduate students to support our Finance & Administration Officer in her day-to-day tasks. The internship should be an integral part of your studies. It is designed to give you the opportunity to apply and develop your skills in your area of interest and in this case, gain initial experience in accounting within an NGO.
We are looking for creative, proactive, and hands-on avid learners. We are an innovative team where ideas are always welcome.
Your profile
Your Responsibilities
You will provide accounting support, including:
Record financial transactions in Winbiz, including invoices, expenses, and payment
Issue invoices
Review employee expenses and make reimbursements
Track expenses and evaluating budgets
Participate in annual audit
Aid with financial reporting, in the form of the preparation of financial reports
Participate in budgeting process
Prepare ad hoc reports based on financial data
Various administrative tasks, such as answering phone calls, responding to emails, and ensuring that all documentation is organized and collated.
Your Experience, Skills and Attributes
University student in Accounting or alike
Fluency in English, spoken and written (French is an asset)
Strong knowledge in using MS Office especially Excel
Proactive, responsible and eager to take on diverse tasks
Meticulous attention to detail for accurate financial processes
Comfortable with multitasking, autonomy, and meeting deadlines
Effective communication of financial information
Good team player who collaborates effectively and contributes to a positive team dynamic
Commitment to work in NGOs - not for profit sector
Additional Information
Mandatory: tripartite internship convention/agreement between the student, the University and our Institute
Duration: 3-6 months (or more) depending on your course’s requirements
Working rate: full-time at 32 hours per week (Mondays to Thursdays), or part-time
Starting date: anytime
Location: Geneva and/or remote (depending on current legislation)
